Dear Friends of MAHMA and the Classical Arts,
As we look forward to Ludwig van Beethoven's jubilant masterwork for choir, soloists, and orchestra, "Mass in C," Op. 86, featuring our own Maria Newman conducting the Westwood Chamber Choir and Westwood Chamber Symphony on Sunday, June 25th, 5:00 pm at Westwood Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, we would like to continue to thank all of you, our honored guests and inspirational artists, for helping our world engage in the search to realize its unlimited potential. The arts are a marvelous outlet for emotion and passion, and the creativity involved, be it from the standpoint of the listener, the performer, the student, or of the artistic creator himself/herself, raises our minds and our hearts to a much higher plane. The arts have the power to heal, as well as the strength and influence to connect the soul and the intellect. The arts must continue to thrive as one of the greatest and most unique achievements of humankind!
As an active non-profit arts organization, standing strongly, and with great loyalty as a committed member of our community as one, the Malibu Friends of Music at the Montgomery Arts House for Music and Architecture (MAHMA),believes wholeheartedly that, “it takes a village." We consider very seriously the role that the arts play in this interface. Thank you for continuing to walk the journey with us.
With the very warmest of regards,
Scott Hosfeld, Executive Director Maria Newman, Artistic Director Malibu Friends of Music Montgomery Arts House for Music & Architecture
